INTERNAL CABLE ROUTING Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt. DOWN TUBE EXIT Ensures that internally routed cables and wires can’t move freely and remain easily accessible for servicing. RACELITE 61 ALUMINIUM We use a minimum of 6061 aluminium. The pay back is that it’s possible to make lighter and more advanced frames. We use an additional heat treatment and double-butted wall thicknesses to produce light and stiff frames. TFS – TECHNO FORMING SYSTEM Technoforming is a mechanical forming process, shaping the tubes by using negative moulds, at times combined with an internal metal core. F-MOUNT ‘F-Mount’ equipped bikes have integrated fittings for mud guards (some bikes require model specific mud guards), making fitting fast and simple. K-MOUNT Integrated mount on the chainstay to fit a Merida kickstand (or any commercial kickstand). C-MOUNT ‘C-Mount’ equipped bikes have the fixing points for a rear rack already integrated (some bikes require model specific rear rack), making fitting fast, simple and reliable.

Creating a bike is very much a team effort with each member contributing a specific skill set with everything coming together in the end. The journey to the shop floor incorporates conceptual planning, integrating colour and graphics into the mix, prototype development and testing, refining pre-production models and – finally – production. Our in-house labs push our products beyond the industry standards. We work with the top external test laboratories to ensure that Merida bikes can withstand the most demanding trails, the steepest climbs, the heaviest loads, the fastest races and years of commuting. But the development does not stop there; we collaborate with our componentry suppliers, our Pro team and global distributors to drive ongoing improvements and upgrades to our range. Our e-Bikes have been developed through a very close partnership with Shimano, ensuring that new frames and motors are created simultaneously to optimise performance.
