Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag

Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag

The updated Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag is their most versatile design. It’s flexible in both senses of the word- soft and pliable and ideal for many different uses. Made from a bluesign® approved recycled 70D nylon with a C0 non-PFC DWR finish, the interior polyurethane coating is white to improve visibility and make it easy to find small items in poor light. Lightweight Dry Bags are available in various colours to optimise colour-coded packing. They use the same hypalon non-wicking roll-top closure as our other dry sacks and feature a D-ring attachment point at the buckle. The oval base prevents the dry bag from rolling away on sloping surfaces. Ideal for backpacking, cycle touring, travel, ski touring and more.Shop More Watersport Accessories – SHOP

Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag – Who Are The Brand Sea to Summit?

Sea to Summit invent gear that enables freedom and self-reliance in any environment We take adventure seriously We take our adventure and our gear seriously, but our Aussie humour lightens any journey. We follow our own heading We approach life with directness, candour and integrity, doing what we know is right to build products and relationships that last.OUR STORY Roland Tyson started making outdoor gear on an old industrial sewing machine in his childhood bedroom in 1983, at the age of 17. As a young outdoor enthusiast, Roland realized that he had a passion and a talent for creating cutting-edge outdoor equipment. Soon he was designing and manufacturing equipment for other Australian adventurers. By 1991, after outfitting an unusual first ascent of Mt. Everest (a 1126 kilometer, 8848 meters in elevation trek from sea level to a solo summit), Sea to Summit was born.Roland’s drive to design the best, lightest and most durable equipment would take him farther into the remote Australian outback and eventually into the Himalayas. In these wild places, he could put his inventions to the ultimate test.In 1993, Roland was joined by Penny Sanderson, who had spent six years at Australian Geographic. Her passion for exploration and innovation was a perfect fit for Sea to Summit. She and Roland began travelling several months out of each year, spending time climbing, sailing, trekking, overlanding and biking. Everywhere they went, they tested products and iterated design.Sea to Summit quickly grew into a successful global brand, with Penny and Roland’s love of travel and design as the foundation. Together, they own and manage Sea to Summit, still taking part in every step of the journey from developing raw materials to putting perfected gear into the hands of customers worldwide. We are surfers, hikers, bikers, paddlers, sailors—lovers of outdoor spaces and we are inspired by the freedom those spaces provide. Stewardship of our natural environment is as important to us as the creation of new products and we purposefully make gear that lasts and can be easily repaired. At Sea to Summit we invent gear that enables freedom and self-reliance in any environment—and we believe it is imperative that same environment be around for future generations of adventurers to enjoy. The meaningful steps we are making towards improving our environmental and social impact and our commitment to being transparent about our progress is the only way to guarantee we do our part in making that happen. Acknowledging we can do better, we’ve begun increasing our understanding of how our actions as a brand impacts our global environment. This includes estimating our Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions to further guide our actions in reducing our footprint. We are striving to reduce the environmental impact of our products by increasing the use of traceable recycled materials, choosing better chemistry through our commitment to bluesign® approved 100% of the down used in our sleeping bags and quilts is independently certified to the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). We approach packaging design as we do product—with meticulous attention to detail.
